An old broken Lion. A tribute to my grandfather. The trials and tribulations that made him the man he is today. Love you Gpa
My first tattoo. It’s composed of imagery from sci-fi book covers (specifically Philip K. Dick’s “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch” and Ray Bradbury’s “The Martian Chronicles”), an 18th Century woodcut and a thingy from Ancient Aliens.

My mother was a single parent for a long time and she worked an immense amount. Therefore, I grew up with my great-grandparents. I spent every summer day and every day after school at their house until I was 12. I am forever grateful for the values that they instilled in me and everything that I learned from them about life, love, and happiness. I had been thinking of getting a tattoo to memorialize them and when my great-grandfather passed in April 2011, I realized that something had to be done.
My great-grandfather always talked about Buicks and how they were the best cars. He often told stories that involved Buicks. So I got the Buick logo representing him. My great-grandmother loves birds. Her favorite is the meadow lark and she raves about how beautiful their songs were when she was a little girl in Kansas. So I got a meadow lark for her. I got the tattoo on my arm so that I could constantly see it and remember who raised me.
